What wind speeds are expected after this thing will have reached the Azores? Iirc we had an ex-hurricane crossing the British Isles and Scandinavia last week, but no weather-related damages or injuries had been reported, at least not that I know of.

Thanks for the warning, Christodd.
It appears it should be weak by the time it passes by the Azores.
A tropical depression or storm at the most.
Construction here is good for a Cat 2 although a lot of other damage can happen other than people's homes.
Windguru's models are all screwy. Sometimes they account for Omar and the they'll change it to good weather:
