I'm a single mom with two boys ages 13 and 16.  I'm having trouble with my home, the boys as well as dealing with loneliness.  I relocated to the country approx. 3 years ago with a man who I thought was the love of my life.  Now I'm alone trying to keep my home up and raise my boys.  Outside happenings will soon be occuring that will have an effect on the outlying areas and will deeply depreciate home values in the area.  I feel that I'm stuck here.  I am also very loney, I would love to have a good man in my life.  Is there any hope??  Thank you.

Redhead...I know this might sound strange...I simply said one prayer to "meet my life partner tomorrow" and you know what?! I did! He did not look or act like anything I expected, (and I met him in a place I would never expect to meet anyone). I did not recognize him right away. I even said "he is the last person I will ever go out with." All of that changed pretty fast. I have been married for for 22 years, and been with him for 25 years! This is a true story. I was 20 years old, sick with a fever, had no makeup on, and did not recognize him right away.  I heard something once that when it "is time" you will meet "the one." Even if you never leave the house - because that is how destiny works.

Pam's story of meeting me the day after I got off the train coming from Florida over 7 years ago to do the project with the hurricanes here in California. She had been on her own for a while and was emotionally broken. The day before we met she went around to her old connections and released all the blame and shame and opened herself to a new life. I opened the door at the local Unity Church for her as I was following my life to find what it was I needed here in California. She opened up to me in the rose garden as we were the first ones there and what she said reminded me of my poem about a rose. I told her the poem and she burst into tears. We were not attracted to each other at first glance and put off getting together while taking care of some business. Within a month we were off on an adventure that would last until now. If You have been on this forum for any time at all You might recognise the poem.

I received an email from my ex who basically was reminiscing about our relationship together.  I truly don't know what to make out of this.  I started crying and am very confused.
